Teaching

Dr. Rubaii has taught undergraduate- and graduate-level courses in Cultural Anthropology, Environmental Studies, Community Studies, American Studies, and Feminist Studies. A selection of courses taught by Dr. Rubaii include: “War and Global Health,” “Understanding Power,” “Ethical Materialism,” “Displacement and Dispossession,” “Anthropology of Global Health,” “The Anthropocene: Environment, Culture, and Society,” “Anthropology of Militarism,” Anthropology of Violence,” “Methods and Ethics in Anthropology.” In 2021, she received a Purdue Teaching Academy Award for Exceptional Teaching and Instructional Support during the COVID-19 Pandemic, and an Anthropology Department Teaching Award at Purdue University for 2020-21.
